Pharmaceutical bottling is one of Reed-Lane’s main specialties. Recently, Reed-Lane added another fully integrated bottling line – its sixth overall – to its packaging operations.

The flexibility of each line enables us to configure them according to each customers’ packaging needs.

Bottling Capabilities

Our pharmaceutical bottling lines utilize slat or electronic filling systems for solid dose products such as tablets, capsules, caplets, soft gels, liquid gels or gel cap forms.

These lines are capable of handling:

A wide variety of bottle shapes and sizes
Child-resistant (push and turn or snap cap) and twist-off closures with induction seals
Cotton or polyester coil
Desiccants (canister or sachet)
Labeling with in-line printing and print verification
Topserts and sideserts
In-line cartoning and trays
Bundling

Serialization

For bottles which require serialization, our bottling lines feature in-line serialization capabilities. We can serialize and aggregate at the bottle, shipper, and pallet level. Learn more about our serialization services.

Quality You Can Count On

All of our bottling lines are equipped with several in-line quality checks and cameras. Most of the lines feature Optel Group’s Countsafe Vision System to prevent undercounts and broken or foreign product in the bottles. Other checks include sensors at the capping station, metal detectors, and camera’s verifying the correct lot and expiration date have been printed.

Any bottle that doesn’t pass an inspection is removed from the packaging line and placed aside in a locked box only accessible by our trained QA employees.
